I'm Dennis Barreto — a finance executive turned independent advisor with over 15 years of experience across three continents, five finance disciplines, and some of the world's most demanding organizations.
My journey started in Brasília, Brazil, where I graduated in Information Technology with a focus in Security and worked as a Network Administrator for INCRA, a Brazilian federal agency managing critical national infrastructure. That foundation in technology never left me.
I moved to the United States in 2009, joining LanDesk Software in their localization and software engineering division. I then earned my MBA in Finance & Information Systems from Brigham Young University (BYU) in 2014, followed by the prestigious Meritor/Cummins Finance Leadership Development Program — rotating through Treasury, Aftermarket Business, and Internal Audit.
For over a decade, I built my career at Amazon — first as Finance Leader for fulfillment buildings across Tennessee, Texas, and Michigan, then moving to Amazon's European headquarters in Luxembourg as FP&A Leader for the Heavy & Bulky end-to-end logistics network, and later as Finance Leader for End-to-End Europe Operations Strategy.
Most recently, I served as AI Champion for Amazon Europe Finance Transformation — leading the integration of AI into finance processes across the continent.
